  • Scope: Configure Longhorn to speak to an external destination outside of the cluster's local disks.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Set up a dedicated NFS share or S3-compatible bucket to act as the long-term backup repository.
    • Configure the Backup Target and Backup Target Secret in the Longhorn settings UI or via manifest.
    • Run a manual test backup of a non-critical volume to verify connectivity.
